Steinar Refsdal started learning Argentine Tango in Norway. He fell in love with the dance and the music, and decided to move to Buenos Aires for a year and half to study extensively with some of the most renowned tango maestros such as Francisco Forquera, Alejandra Gutty, Silvio La Via, Corina Herrera, Moira Castellano, Dario Daniele and Pancho Martinez Pey. After studying the culture, the language and the history of Tango, and after endless nights dancing in the best milongas in Buenos Aires, he did his first Tango performance in Casa de Aníbal Troilo. On the dance floor he met Cyrena Drusine, and he brought her to Norway where they started a Tango school. Steinar has a bachelor in Performing Arts Jazz, and his background as a Jazz musician gives him a unique understanding of musicality and improvisation in Tango. He is also a certified teacher and draws from his experience teaching music to try to give his students the best possible learning experience.

CS Tango, created by Steinar and Cyrena in 2016 in Oslo, is a business that provides tango entertainment and tango classes in Norway and abroad. During the past 5 years Steinar and Cyrena have taught and performed in New York, Paris, Berlin, Copenhagen, Stockholm, Istanbul, Athens and Buenos Aires. They have danced in some of the most important tango festivals internationally, such as the Belgrade Tango Encuentro, Tango Cazino, the Thailand Tango Festival and Advent Tango festival. In 2018 they finished as finalists in Norway's Got Talent. They have also been touring and performing in theaters throughout Norway with El Muro, a Norwegian, Argentine tango group. In January 2019 Cyrena and Steinar performed with the Oslo Philharmonic as part of their New Years Concert all tango program.
